Great app but I’m having a problem. I backed up the call log and I’m able to see the contact names in the xml file but when I restored the call log, the contact names do not appear next to the call – it just says “Unknown”. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its most likely caused by incorrect/incomplete port of ICS on your phone. It works fine on the Android 4.0 emulator as well as the Galaxy Nexus.
If you can send me logs from your phone then I might be able to figure out the problem.

Sorry, but the app is unusable on Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich.
PLEASE fix it… This app is very important for me :-/

Thanks for posting this. I flashed a new ROM (MikG 2.59) on my EVO and after restore call logs, had the problem as described above. The good news is that the fix above also worked and now my contacts appear!

yes, this helps
1. on HTC, export contacts to SD
2. delete all contacts (keep Call history)
3. import contacts from SD

“Unknown” disappeared from Call history
