Sure. It’ll be very useful for other users. I don’t mind putting it on my site but it’ll be much better if you could host it somewhere where the users can communicate with you directly. This way you’d be able to make changes without me coming in the way.

Has anyone written (or is anyone willing to to write) a short howto on using SMS Backup & Restore to transfer SMS messages from an old phone with an SD card (in my case, a T-Mobile G2) to a phone without SD card, that is, a Samsung Galaxy Nexus?

Hi, ive restored all my SMS after flashing a new rom. But the avatars from the sms are gone. My contacts have all their pictures what im doing wrong?

Hey I like your program, however the xml is a little hard to read on the computer in its current format. I went ahead and wrote a java-script parser and basic html page that works in all browsers.
It will show you all of the contacts names in the xml file let you pick one see all the dates they sent you a text (or you sent them one) and then let you view all of the texts for that day in a readable format. If you want I can zip the folder and send it to you so you can host it here for people to be able to quickly see their texts. (all a user would have to do is name the xml file text_backup.xml and put it in the folder and then open the html page, so its pretty simple. Anyways let me know if its something you would be interested in. (I’m not trying to get money or anything I just thought when I got done with it that other people might want to use it to
