You can delete individual backup files but not conversations from within backup files. You can select conversations to backup as well so that it does not fill the sdcard with backups of conversations that you don’t want to keep.

Is there a way to delete selected backups?

I have tons of sms backed up. I wanna keep some but delete others. And my sd card is almost full so I’d like to free space.

I have vital text messages from my job that I would like to keep and a lot from friends that I would like to delete.

Is it possible to do that? Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I would like to take the texts off my phone, delete some using my computer, then do a restore back to my phone with those. I have the HTC EVO. Can I do that? And if so, how? Thanks.

Yes using a computer download the backup file to the SMSBackupRestore folder of the phone’s SDCard.

But how can I sort the messages into “sent” and “received”?

i backed the texts up using this program and emailed it to my computer from my phone… well texh support from my provider factory reset my phone and it lost the entire back up. Is there a way to email from my computer back to my phone and restore the text that way?

I backed my txt messages up and it was great! Tech support with Verizon factory reset my phone therefore I lost the back up. Before hand I emailed a copy to my hotmail fromt he gmail on my phone. Is there a way I can email it back to my phone save it and then restore teh texts back on my phone by chance?

hi!
after i make correction in the xml (opened in excel) i can’t save it because a message stops me saying that the xml mapping are not exportable…
what can i do?
i get the same message if i try to save in xml without make corrections…

Yes, the problem seems to be due to some special characters in a message. All of a sudden I couldn’t use Excel to open a backup file. I knew there was a recent message with funky characters. I deleted that ‘bad’ message, and now everything works great again.

One more thing: WONDERFUL program! It has saved my life! Thank you – Thank you – Thank you – Thank you – Thank you.
